A New Wreath

I have been in the process of "lighting" up around my home for the new year, I think I want things a little more simple, and brighter.  In an effort to make my home a little more lively, I have been arranging and re-arranging things everywhere.

I needed a new wreath to go over my  stained board that I had moved to the living room, right above the chateau grey cabinet.  It seems to me that all of the pre made wreaths I like, tend to be on the pricey side,  so I thought why not make my own (and save some cash in the process).

I got a wreath form at Hobby Lobby (40% of course), and the egg and nest.  I already had the burlap garland and deer moss on hand.  I just wrapped the garland around the wreath, hot glued the moss and nest, and filled in more moss around the egg.

Simple and easy, and I love it!  I guess in a way I'm just ready for spring to head on our way.

My wooden crate holds a few spools that I purchased last year during a visit to my in-laws in a garage sale for $5 for all, and also, my lonely antler, I really need to find more of those, and cannot wait to add them to my collection.  The terrarium was a World Market find last spring, and it holds an Ikea arrangement, inside of a wooden flower pot purchased at Hobby Lobby a while ago as well...as you can tell..I live at Hobby Lobby ;)

Hope everyone has a great week!

  2. I'm so over winter. Unfortunately I've got like a good 3 months ahead of me still. Maybe I need a cute wreath like this to get me through!
