A Little Shopping and a Giveaway

My little blog is slowly growing, I have reached 100 followers (yeay), and I want to thank each and everyone one of you for supporting me in my little endeavor.  So to celebrate, I headed out, and did but what else, some shopping!

I was introduced by a friend to this store, I always drove by it, but it looked like a warehouse, so I never gave it much thought.  Well, let me tell you, it is not a warehouse, but a mercantile, full of antiques, clothes, collectibles and so much more:

Sorry for the bad pictures, I took them with my phone, but you get the idea, this pictures were only of the back side, there is just so much stuff to look at, sometimes, it can get a little overwhelming.  I try not to come often, I like to give the merchants time to switch their inventory, and also, the items can be in the expensive side, you really have to take your time and look, and that can take you about an hour and a half.  But, because I was in the lookout for something special, I decided a visit was necessary.

Here are the two things that came home with me:

I wold love to have the wooden bowl on my dining table full of antlers one day, for now, this is my fist one.

A mirrored jewelry box, that will go in my master bedroom.

And as a thank you for being my readers, one of you can win this:

I picked up this roll of burlap for the giveaway.  I have seen so many beautiful project done out there with burlap, and could never find a roll at my local stores, but I was able to find some here.  It is about 5 1/2 inches wide, so the possibilities are endless.

So, how can you win the roll of burlap?  Just leave a comment.  Simple.  And for an additional entry, become a a follower, I would love to meet more of you out there, and if you already are, just let me know.  And also, please leave your e-mail address so that I may contact you if you don't have a blog.  I will pick a winner on Tuesday.

Thank you all again for being part of my blog world.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Kristel

  7. The burlap would be perfect to make burlap roses. I've been wanting to make a new wreath for my front door and I think a fabric covered wreath with burlap roses would be ideal!
