Christmas Around the House

I could not wait for Thanksgiving to be over in order to start decorating for Christmas.  This is the time of year that I can add warmth without trying too hard.  I tried not over doing it this year, and kept the decor a little rustic, with a lot a natural touches.  First thing I did, was decorate the mantel.  I had fun with this one, and I got to use the stained board I did a few months ago.  The red and green on the wreath makes the wood color seem darker.

I also added touches of Christmas around the house, again, trying to keep it simple, very hard when all you want to do is go all out.

And this is just the downstairs, I have also decorated the upstairs, but because that is the kid zone, I tried keeping it a little more kid friendly.  I will post those pictures, along with the Christmas tree soon.

I know I can't be the only one who decks out her house for Christmas before Thanksgiving, I like to enjoy this time of year as much as I can, if it was up to me, I would start decorating as soon as Halloween was over, but that's just me.  Is any one out there like me?

  1. Your decor is very pretty! Your not alone, there's alot of folks out there that start decking early. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them this year, so I am not doing nearly as much. Found you at MUSoS mantel party. I am your latest follower.
